No Boundaries members gathered in Indianapolis, Indiana, on June 2-4, 2026, for the Spring 2026 Peer Exchange hosted by the Indiana DOT. The meeting provided an opportunity for transportation maintenance professionals to exchange ideas, share best practices, and showcase innovative approaches.
The program featured roundtable discussions on impact detectors for transportation assets, work zone safety, contracted maintenance, road closure gates, urban litter removal, and workforce development through high school internship programs. Participants also shared new innovations presentations covering apprenticeship programs, asset maintenance and traffic operations, guidance for addressing homeless encampments on state rights-of-way, and new equipment and technologies that improve operational efficiency.
The peer exchange included technical tours of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and the INDOT Sign Shop, providing participants with firsthand insight into transportation maintenance operations and innovative practices.
